This past Thursday, June 9th, Amari Bingham, author of the book Proskater, held a book signing event at the Lauderdale Lakes Public Library, where he had the pleasure of meeting Mayor Hazelle Rogers and Vice-Mayor Marilyn Davis of Lauderdale Lakes.
At the event Amari had copies of his book, Proskater, available and ready to be signed. The event was held to celebrate joy, hope, and happiness together and offered attendees a chance to meet Amari, the boy not only behind the main character, but also the author of the book.
Proskater is about a young boy named Amari who goes to a skate park and tries skating for the first time. The story encourages others to try new things with an open mind and embrace new experiences. If you are looking to try new things like Amari then Proskater is a book you don’t want to miss!
