Dr. John is a Building for Equity Alum. She was in their first cohort. For Juneteenth, GFT invited their newest cohort and alum to celebrate their success and break bread. We ate salmon, steamed veggies, mac and cheese and other goodies. They discussed the agenda of the program and alum shared their experiences.
Girls for Technology, owned and operated by Sabrina Tucker Barret and Anthony Barrett, is a nonprofit organization empowering women with equal opportunities, Building for equity is a business accelerator that aims to invest in education, mentorship, and inclusive environments. After the program is a pitch competition where ten businesses will compete for funding and angel investments.
Dr. John was happy to see members for her old cohort and introduce herself to the new ones.
