After the announcement on April 30th that Imani Ariana's Disco Balls of the Universe received the high honor of a FIVE STAR review from Readers’ Favorite, we have just learned that two of the Olivia Lauren’s Book Series illustrated by teen illustrators, Simonne-Anais Clarke and Zachary-Michael Clarke featuring main character, ten year old, Olivia Lauren also received FIVE STARS. Two days later, we found out that another of the Olivia Lauren series illustrated by youth illustrator, Niquey also earned the honor!! Lauren Simone Pubs was invited to UCONN Barnes and Noble located in Hartford CT for an amazing Children's Books Author Day! We met a lot of local authors and heard excerpts from their beautiful books. We felt very blessed to be part of the event. Here are some of the event photos.

On April 28, 2018, local an d independently owned bookstores celebrated Independent Bookstore Day!   We were invited to Wesleyan's R J Julia Bookstore's event located at 413 Main Street, Middletown, CT 06457. We had the honor of meeting two very lovely local authors: Jeff Cohen, WNPR news reporter and author of "Eva and Sadie" book series and C. W. Sparklet, author of "Peek." We were graciously hosted by Alex and Dylan and want to say a special thanks to the Store Manager, Michael.
