The book was adopted by the Holyoke, Massachusetts public school system as part of their elementary ESL (English as a Second Language) program, a major achievement that speaks to the book’s educational value and appeal.
In addition, a school system in New Jersey has expressed interest in using Favorite Things to support children with autism, highlighting the book’s versatility and Pedro’s commitment to making an impact in diverse learning environments.

Pedro’s presence in the local arts and literary community is growing stronger by the day. In August, he participated in the Manchester WorkPlace Children’s Book Launch, where he donated numerous books, illustrations, and stickers to support young readers and promote literacy.

This September, Pedro is being celebrated as the Featured Artist of the Month at the Coventry Booth & Dimock Memorial Library, where his paintings are on display throughout the month.
