A Delightful Way to Learn the Life Cycle of a Plant

I wish I had this story while teaching first and second grade. The information is easy to understand, and the illustrations are eye-catching. The bold font makes the words jump off the page, and the brightly colored vocabulary words match the words in the diagrams, making it easy for the reader to learn new words and make connections. Imani did a great job explaining the life cycle of a plant. Additionally, she encourages her readers to do a hands-on experiment with planting a seed and recording the data. Hands-on projects are a brilliant way to introduce young children to the scientific method. Imani knows how to reach her audience and keep them engaged. Her readers will love seeing Imani take a selfie with a plant. The Golden Life of Sally Sunflower will inspire children to learn more about plants and explore becoming scientists.
