Elijah's Birthday Surprise is part of the Madison and Elijah children's book series. The story is packed full of educational resources and activities for young minds. The Bishops did a great job of using child-appropriate language and illustrations that beautifully depict the story. Elijah's Birthday Surprise is full of imagination and fun, and I especially loved the educational review questions at the end of the book. The story also comes equipped with detailed craft projects for students to complete.

The About the Author page mentions that one of the children was diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and the vivid colors of the illustrations were very eye-catching and constantly moving to keep children's attention. I connected with this because I work with children with ADHD and a book like this would be a great learning tool to help keep their attention during learning. Elijah's Birthday Surprise is a great children's educational resource to use for youngsters.
