Willona Y. Amoakoh

Willona is a licensed master social worker and believes mental health is a form of wealth. For 20 years, Willona has practiced in non profit clinical settings to provide counseling services, crisis intervention for adults and children, and
program development. In her current role she serves as a clinical supervisor for Hartford Healthcare. As a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for Hartford Healthcare, she is a strong advocate for health
equity. Willona is also an actress, dancer, and is passionate about using performing arts to bring forth hope and healing through children's books, theater, and animated motion pictures. During the onset of the COVID-19
pandemic, Willona co-founded Scholar Empower LLC. to provide social and emotional learning for students and school climate change support for faculty in urban communities.
