THE DOWE TWINS SIBLINGS FIGHT
This is a great book about siblings! It shows that though sisters and brothers may fight, there is still love. I see this with girls as well.
My daughters really enjoyed this book!
- Author, Sarah Hays, October 2, 2017
"This book is literally my childhood. My parents could have definitely used The Dowe Twins Siblings Fight. These twins fight about everything.
There is so much they have in common. They just cant stop figting. They end up deciding it will be best to get along.
This book has an after reading exercize and the entire story is in Spanish and English."
- Dream Reader Kids, August 29, 2017
Learning while laughing. This was a wonderful children's book about sibling relationships and it had the added benefit of teaching
you some Spanish. The whimsical drawings of the Dowe twins made me smile throughout the story.

OLIVIA TRAVELS: A GUIDE TO MODES OF TRANSPORTATION
This book is adorable and educational. Small children will love hearing about or reading cute rhymes about all sorts of transportation. Even if the child is familiar with the type of transportation they may learn new facts. For example, How much weight can a camel carry? What is another name for a helicopter? What's the "golden rule" when you're on a school bus? The illustrations are arranged in alphabetical order as well; another educational aspect of this book. I highly recommend this thoroughly enjoyable book for small children.

"Olivia Lauren's Olivia Travels: A Guide to Modes of Transportation is a great way to teach kids about the various types of transportation. Illustrations were on point. Using sentences that rhyme made reading fun for my kids. My 4 year old daughter was able to look back through all the modes of transportation and told me which ones she's been on before, and the ones she would love to ride someday!"
--Stacy H., June 27, 2017
"I would recommend Olivia Travels: A Guide to Modes of Transportation. The illustrations are beautiful and eye catching. Would have loved if related modes of transportation were grouped together to make comparisons easier. Otherwise, I love the variations. Nice."

This is another outstanding book by Melissa-Sue John that you're sure to adore. This time we talk about various types of communication. I imagine you think of text messages, tablets, video phones and cell phones. But what happened before these existed? Do you know the difference between verbal and non-verbal communication? What is body language? Can you communicate if you are blind? In ancient times what tools did people use to write a letter? If you were in the middle of a battle, what did the drumbeats mean? If you read this educational, entertaining book, you'll find the answers to these questions and much more. I highly recommend it to teachers, children and families. You'll even find a glossary at the end to help you remember terms you may not remember.

- Claressa S. , November 1, 2017
Interesting, energetic and inclusive read
- A Writer, October 11, 2017
An interesting, energetic review of the many different ways in which people communicate. The discussion features nonverbal and verbal communication; formal and informal styles of communication; written and oral communication; modern and ancient tools and techniques; and adaptations for use by people with various disabilities. It is an inclusive book in more ways than one.
"Olivia Connects is a fun way to learn about communicatin. This book takes you through different ways of communicating and how communication has evolved oer time. There is a glossary in hte back that reviews all the definitions. I like how the book even covered Braille. "Maria has a visual challenge called blindness. She uses braille to read."
- Dream Reader Kids Instagram review, August 27, 2017

OLIVIA LAUREN'S THINGS WE WEAR
I loved Olivia Lauren's book; "A Guide to Things We Wear." You might imagine young readers will read about what you wear in rainy weather, or how you dress in cold weather, but this book will teach you much more than that. For example, what would you wear if you lived in India or Pakistan? Where do you live if you wear a Sari? How do the Irish or Scottish people dress? This educational, informative story will be a delight for young readers and they will gain a great deal of knowledge by reading it.What if you forget what a certain type of attire is called? No worries, check the glossary in the back. I highly recommend it for young readers, teachers and families.
- Children's author, Deanie Humphrys-Dunne, November 1, 2017
My sister reads it all the time! It's informative and the illustrations are so cute! Great read overall! Make sure you
purchase this for your little fashionista guys!
- Amazon Customer, October 9, 2017
I just read this book. It's very exciting to learn about different cultures around the world. Every time we do, we expand our imagination to the world beyond our own backyard. The book is colorful and captivating. I recommend this book to anyone, young or old, who wants to learn about cultural fashions. I also loved how there is a glossary in the back of the book.
- C.D. Johnson, October 7, 2017
Authors Olivia Lauren (a 9 year old Connecticut lass) and Melissa-Sue John (Jamaican born psychology professor) aided by teenage illustrators Simonne-Anais Clarke and Zachary-Michael Clarke have produced OLIVIA LAUREN’S Book 5 in the ongoing series that teaches multi-cultural children varying traditions, fashions, travel, communication, jobs and more. The book opens with a terrific overture in words and images of Olivia Lauren who is about to walk the runway in a fashion show. But before the grand show Olivia explains the various words for clothes (attire, outfits garments, gear, wardrobe, etc.), the purpose of various types of clothes (types of coats depending on the weather – engaging her friends Kayla, Taj and Harriet to demonstrate raingear), for sports, the beach, swimming, safety (life jackets, gloves, goggles, helmets), underwear and accessories, clothes for special occasions such as work and important events, sleep wear, clothes that honor various religions and the different clothes from different countries – this last section is the most informative and interesting... This is a fine contribution to multicultural appreciation as well as a teaching source for clothing of many types. This is a very fine book all around.
- Grady Harp, October 6, 2017
This is an ideal book for children to learn about multicultural attire. The illustrations are very bold and colorful which always catches
a child's attention. I especially like the use of different cultures, ethnicities, and age groups to relate a common thread between everyone.
The added glossary is a great idea!
- Lazann, October 5, 2017
My girls and I enjoyed this book! It talks about different cultures and the attire they wear. It is very informational.
This would be a great read aloud for students or with family at home!
